Guest guest
KC- I can't get the original paper on-line, but the author has a website where he states " Transmission of rabies virus to humans by ingestion of milk from a rabid mother has been reported. A woman in early stage of rabies transmitted the disease to her nursing baby. " Rabies does have a fairly long incubation time, so it is certainly possible to expose someone before you die. http://www.manbir- online.com/rabies.htm Much of what he reports on was not reported in the US, and without actually seeing the paper I can't tell for sure. I will work on getting it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying one way or the other if rabies can be contracted through milk....I'm not convinced one way or the other as of yet. Guest guest
When I see " has been reported " I want to see the report. While the " Rabies Transmission by Oral and Other Non-bite Routes " you sent on indicates " it has been reported " it also points out, correctly, that " Rabies virus has been isolated from several body fluids like saliva, tracheal and nasal secretions, tear, CSF, urinary sediment, etc, from laboratory proved case of human rabies. " NOT blood, NOT milk. I also have a bit of concern about the reliability of the information presented when his HIV page has such poor information. We are expected to believe that " After years of scrutiny, there is no evidence that HIV is transmitted by casual contact or that the virus can be spread by insects, such as by a mosquito bite. " Yet HIV can be transmitted via more routes than the rabies virus, including breastfeeding. kathryn russell www.MajestyFarm.com " The one the tyrants fear is the man who knows his rights and is prepared to stand up for them. Guest guest
Hey , Just as an aside, DO you think HIV is transmitted through mosquito bites? I worry about that sometimes, although everyone tells me I shouldn't. My baby boy got eaten up one time--like 20 bites--at a retreat in the mountains and there were also HIV positve men all around getting bitten as well. Sometimes moms worry their heads sick about things like that......I know I should trust in the Lord, but it it difficult with your babes.... Guest guest
I was worried about that too because we have so many mosquitos here, but the CDC says HIV is not transmitted through mosquitos. But, I have to say that if I had a baby/child, I would have him/her tested. Better safe then sorry. K.C. Guest guest
Many real diseases can be transmitted by mosquito bites. If HIV exists at all, and there is substantial doubt that it does, it does not cause any medical problems and therefore you won't find it causing any diseases through mosquito transmission. There are dozens of books and hundreds of web sites that discuss the HIV=AIDS scam. > > Hey , > Just as an aside, DO you think HIV is transmitted through mosquito bites? > I worry about that sometimes, although everyone tells me I shouldn't. Guest guest
Refusal to educate oneself and a pathological need to post on subjects of which one is completely ignorant are not sex based characteristics. Nor is a willingness to read and learn a sex based characteristic. We have intelligent and educated women who post on this list. You just seem to have no interest in joining their ranks. --- Tinybabe wrote: > Thats because I just love it when men show their > superior, yet repulsive > attitude. > > Re: Rabies in milk > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> > Many real diseases can be transmitted by > >> mosquito > >> >> bites. Guest guest
Okay I hate to do this , but I am putting you on moderation. I have warned you before about being ugly to people, and you seem to have a problem complying. I appreciate your passion and intelligence, but this list is not a place for angry insults. Also, please everyone remember to TRIM your posts down to only that post to which you are replying. This post was ridiculously long and probably created misery for those on DIGEST mode. Also, I would like us to end the topic of HIV at least for a while. It is OT and it's been discussed enough. Guest guest
Also K.C., This is official warning about sexist comments. We must ALL try to refrain from being ugly. Thanks, D. moderator > > Thats because I just love it when men show their superior, yet repulsive > attitude.
Guest guest
I apologize to the group and to you. I will keep my comments to myself when angered and hope we can all get along for the good of the group and the benefit of the raw milk movement. K.C.
