Good selection of songs,Kishoreda.

The last one, yes,a very fast sad song.

As I went home humming it,Seema asked me,where I had picked it up from, and when

I told her about the new list of sad songs,....she said... " Agreed that it was

an racy sad song, but the audience couldn't make out,if the hero was happy that

he had lost her(to someone) or indeed sad at having lost her... "

I had purchased a set of 6 CDs of Mukesh's songs, and one of them happen to be

DARD BHARE geet.

I was amazed to listen to some of the songs,in which the Hero not only felt bad

at the loss of his lady love, but also wished her well in the company of her new

companion.

Can't imagine, how the lyricist got around to expressing such, opposite thoughts.

Aasawari,

Great songs.... personally I still am partial to the melody aspect of each

composition than the lyrics. With (advancing) age I am surprised at the

beautiful lyrics of some of my favourite songs. #2 AND #3 of your selection are

out of this world.

good ones Ashish

is Akhiyon ke jharokon se a " sad " song or was it sad because ranjeeta was

dying in the movie?

speaking of ranjeeta, I have seen her in person, when she was shooting for a

song at Aarey Milk colony along with Sanjeev Kumar... and just a week after

that sanjeev Kumar was no more... ( I hope no one links that with me seeing

the shooting....)

Anamika had some awesome music by RD Burman ... both the Burmans... father

and son have composed some imortal sad songs....

SD Burman shot to fame with the famous Geeta Roy (who later became Geeta

Dutt) song " Mera sundar sapna Beet gaya " , which incidentally was Geeta

Dutt's claim to fame..... and S.D. Burman collapsed in the recording studio

in 1975 when he was recording the immortal song " Badi sooni sooni hai " for

the Film Mili... and he went into a coma..... this incomplete song.. was

then completed by his son R. D. Burman....
