I don't know what to say about this really; the only thing I

actually know about diabetes is that getting magnesium levels up helps a

great deal.

Oh; I have been told that those with ME/CFS seem to have a tendency to get

diabetes too. And of coarse the American Diabetes Association is still

putting

those 'nice' things like aspartame in their reduced fat food even though

they

are aware of the dangers. (Aspartame also makes you gain weight)

But would like to hear from some diabetics please???

Blessings

Shan

I'm not diabetic but I have heard many reports of diabetes controlling their

insulin levels through a low-carb diet.

HI, I am diabetic and have been for over 20 years. I amnot entirely sure what

all this conversation is about as I think I missed the first part of the

conversation.

I have not heard about CFS/ME people being more prone to diabetes unless it is

due to poor eating habits. I had diabetes long before I ever got CFS.

Diabetes is NOT a reversable illness. It IS controlable and it is NOT a tough

choice issue. Diabetes is a malfunction of the pancreas and it is not possible

to reverse that. Controlling it is easy once you get over the initial shock of

the diagnosis.

If you are what is considered 'glucose intolerant' this is reversable as it is

only a matter of proper nutrition and exercise.

Diabetes can be controlled if you eat correctly, stay on a well timed eating

schedule, get some exercise, keep track of your own blood sugar levels

regularly, keep your doctor appointments and most importantly take your

medication in a timely manner.

People who are diagnosed with diabetes usually freak out, oh my God I am going

to die, or I can't give myself a needle. Diabetes is much simpler to care for

now than it ever has been and if you want to look after yourself you will live a

long healthy and completely unrestricted life. You can even eat cake!

Well, it takes a few days to help, but mine has been stable since I use it. I am

usually at 110 now, before it was 139 140, so it is much better !!
