Guest guest
Thanks for all the welcome emails as well as the advice, ideas and support. Here is my question. My daughter is 5 and I believe she was checked via swab at back of throat for strep and she did not have it. My question is, is this the ONLY way they test for strep or are there other ways that would find strep that seems to be the cause of PANDA ? I am also curious about how the OCD changes as the child grows. Even if your child was dx'd later in life, what do you recall, what happened once they hit school. That is my biggest concern, as she enters kindergarten this september. I did have a meeting with the school and they will be evaluating her and seeing if she needs an IEP or a 504, however I was assured that she would get one of them. I had a video of one of her fits and that made quite an impression. I have learned to manage her so much that I forget that she is difficult. When I am with my younger one, one on one and I see how much more relaxed it is, I realize what a bundle of stress and anxiety my older one is. josephine
