It actually sounds like what they have been forcing women in China to do for

decades!! I find it hard to believe that healthy, " normal " women, and doctors

find it fine and dandy to stop such an important biological function. I am

curious how much bleeding goes on during the 4 month reprieve from the seasonale

pill. (me on my soap box) Also, the woman in the article, who has not had a

period since she was 17, said that her sex life has never been better......

Another women fallen prey to the over sexed thinking of this society who have

the nerve to separate love and responsibility!!! I am sure her sex life is

great, as long as she can separate herself from her femininity. Must be nice to

not have a conscience!!!

I stop my periods and am no less feminine.

I'm probably more feminine, actually, because there's

nothing quite as UNfeminine as wearing a skirt and

having a honkin' huge seizure and all your sphincters

relaxing and we all know what that means and puking

after.

Estrogen and I don't get along. So I eliminated the

problem, to increase control over my seizures. I'm

still a girl. Just a girl who isn't in imminent danger

of dying of SUDEP or status epilepticus during

ovulation or menstruation.

What I've read is that the periods one has when taking pills like

Seasonale are actually really light, because the pill prevents there

being much blood accumulated during the months before it. Women have

been using regular pills to skip periods for decades, I think it's a

good thing that the pills are changing to actually accomodate for

that. Heck, I did it when I was in college too, it was more

convenient. I also read that there is going to be a new low dose

continuous pill so women can skip periods with less hormones. It

should be approved this summer, and I am planning on asking for that

after my new baby is born in November.

Kassi do they to still let of you drive with seizures as in Ohio you

not allowed too if you have of seizures. i to be to had of my missy

retested for current EEg and she to showe dno seizure activity now

and so it read as normal but in past much spiking and absent

seizures, so wondered if because she has a past history of them if

she will stillb eo fable to get of her lisence when she is of age or

now since she is having normal EEg if we will no longer be to have a

problem with this if she is able to drive she is one of my childrens

I to not feel will be of able to get one at this point but she is of

only 12. Much skills can be learned from now to then.

Kassi, congrats on being seizure-free for so long. To what do you give

the credit? Weren't you up to like over 20/day?

Is it the taurine and carinitine that's treating the adrenal failure,

or are you doing prescrip meds?

I'm the same way with exercise. I have a difficult time keeping muscle

tone. I've been walking 2 mi for the last year or so, on average of

about 2x/wk. If I go a couple of weeks without it, I get into such a

nasty mental and physical state. It's scary how fast my body loses

tone. Even more is how scary my mental state gets. It's almost like

I'm bipolar, when I exercise I have energy out the wazzoo and am

giggly and happy, when I don't I feel overwhelmed to even take a bath

in the morning.
