hip issues - Chicago pedi orthopedic doc?

I'm wondering if anyone has had a good experience with a pediatric orthopedic doc in the Chicago area - relating to hip issues? I've posted about this problem before, but will quickly re-cap our situation. Tristen is 3 years 2 months old. I had to have a C-section when he was born because he was in the -breech position (folded in a V with his toes at his head, bottom down). When he was delivered, both of his hips were dislocated and had to be "massaged" back into place. He can walk, run, jump, climb stairs, ride a trike, etc. The problem is that his hips make a very loud popping noise when he moves certain ways (usually when he sits and shifts his weight from one side to the other). This popping began over a year ago (he didn't always have it).

I had a pediatrician tell me that his hips are not dislocating, what I'm hearing is the "snapping" of the loose ligament on the joint. I had a pediatric orthopedic doctor tell me that was not the case, his hips were clearly popping completely out of joint when this noise happens, but that there is nothing to be done about it. Tristen has had a couple of sets of xrays and the pedi ortho said that the hip sockets are well formed. He said we would "watch" his hips and re-xray annually (that was about 5-6 months ago). . . OK, here is my dilema - his hips (primarily the right hip) are popping louder and more often than ever and it just doesn't seem right to me. I want to get a second opinion by another pediatric orthopedist familiar with issues common with Down syndrome. Does anyone have information about a good doc in the Chicago area?

Thank you,

Christy
