Guest guest Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 Last night was parent teacher conferences. My daughter who is 6 currently does a full K day then finishes the day out in 1st. They want to move her to a full 1st day. I said that's great can you do that mid-year? I guess they can. But what blew me away as they are talking about the possibility of sending her on to 2nd grade for September. They held her back in K because she didn't have a full year as she was transitioning from a outplaced school. They now say it was because they wanted to enhance her social oportunities. We'll she's has a social boom right after the Christmas holidays. I'm just a bit concerned that they may be moving too fast. I don't want her to fail. I guess we'll discuss it when the time comes.
