Guest guest
Hi Candace - Keep on working. I spent 20 years in therapy unraveling my stories and that helped tremendously. 's work makes it faster and easier. Main thing is to be gentle and loving with yourself and unravel what hurts the most. Love JoAn
Guest guest
Hi Candace. At times I take a piece of paper and write my list of thoughts in the form of the " should " statements: It should not rain today. He should not sit at the computer all day. She should not make a mess at the table. I don't inquire on all of these, just give them a place to speak and then rest. If I have time, I go back over the list and pick one that has an emotional tug for me. (I recall one time when I wrote three pages of statements, they were coming so fast, and it wasn't until the bottom of the list that I really found the thought that was causing me emotional pain.) I like writing these thoughts down because they seem to " stop " when they are on paper. I may never inquire on these statements. I can't see that I will have the time--ever--to do a full inquiry on all of the thoughts that cross my mind in a day. And I experience that the important issues simply rise again and again and again until there is a time to do the inquiry. The others stay or leave. When says " Judge your mother " she's got a valuable insight to share. It seems that some beliefs need to be investigated and then there are others that stay as random thoughts passing through. Hope this helps. Heidi overwhelm > Hi everyone, > > I would appreciate input......I've been doing the work off and on for about > 6 months and most intensely the last 3 weeks. Guest guest
Interesting. Barry sends mysterious invisible message dated 2nd January 1997. What is going on here? Barry, it seems possible you may need to re-set your date and time thing on your computer. Also I'm sure everyone would like to know what it was you wanted to say. All we got (well, all I got) was a quote from Candace's October 21 message. Do have another go. Katharine
