Guest guest
Sometimes I try to look at the development of our credential objectively. Hearing a call for something other than a written exam almost made me laugh. Not in a mean/negative way. When I took the exams to become a therapist, there was both a written and oral exam. First you took the written exam; if you passed that, you then took the oral exam. The oral exam consisted of a set of scenarios you would read then create a course of treatment and answer the examiners' questions about about that treatment plan. Very labor/time intensive. After any number of complaints about the oral exam, it is no more. Some complaints were about the examiners, others were about the very nature of having an oral exam. I wonder if the same thing might happen if IBLCE institutes an oral exam. Musing . . . Wagner-Roseville, CA
