Guest guest
Thanks Heidi, Yes, would you please send me the address.. Thanks so much Joanmom to Hayden 32nd CastTreated at ish Rite Hospital Dallas, TX To: infantile_scoliosis Sent: Sat, January 16, 2010 11:36:33 AMSubject: Re: brace question Joan, Just wanted to chime in that I think Liz's advice is great. Obviously no disrespect to your current doc, but it can't hurt to get another very experienced opinion. The main thing they need is the films, but a short letter with Hayden's story so far, your connection to ISOP and us as a group and strong feelings about casting, etc., and a couple of photos of Hayden couldn't hurt to put his cute face to his name and story. Our casting journey is still open ended, but Nick and I both feel Keira's story is very encouraging. I would continue casting for Bex for as long as it can do good and hopefully avoid surgery completely. Our doc D'A has also told me he has seen more correction in a brace, too, after casting or during a "brace break". You can also feel free to send your package to SLC Attn: Angie Livingston and Dr. D'A...you know who, even before you speak to her. We did, anyway. Let me know if you don't have the mailing address. Angie is busy but she's very warm. I would send all the xrays, you can have them burn a CD of the xrays, they don't need the films. You should also send a copy of the MRI. But Angie will let you know what else he might want to look at. Who knows, if you doctor sees you are serious about continuing casting he might give it a try, or maybe he could call and discuss with the dr in SLC after he reviews the medical info.Have a great weekend.Liz, Mom to Keira - 3..5 yrs in cast #6 in SLC From: NIck Guthe <nickgutheyahoo (DOT) com>Subject: Re: [infantile_scoliosi s] brace questionTo: infantile_scoliosis @yahoogroups. comDate: Friday, January 15, 2010, 11:06 PM Joan,I would feel just the same way!!! As you know I have already expressed to Dr R that I am far from ready to give up on casting and he said we will take it one cast at at time.
