Margaret: We just had our Annual Picnic and had 25 families attend. (a total

of about 80) and we used about 75 hot dogs and about 100 hamburgers.

<<Margaret, I'm assuming there's a grocery store near the Holiday Inn

Express???

And then for dessert, we raid the Chocolate Factory!

See you guys Friday night, Jayne>>

Hi, Everyone...Jayne....I hope your sister comes, too. Yes, there are

grocery stores close by. If you come up from the south, you will pass

Stauffers

(the best of the three) and Giant.....both on the left. If you come from the

north, you will pass Weis on the right. Giant and Weis gave us $10

certificates and SKH gave us $20. Thank them if you guys go in. Bring money

for the

chocolate factory....Wilbur's isn't cheap and I think Hershey's taste better

myself. Also, there is an Isaacs that is right next to the hotel....they are

providing us with the deli salads for 60 people. I will have to stop in

tomorrow and find out what exactly they are.

Which leads me to the next question......how many hot dogs and hamburgers

per family? Estimate please......I won't hold you to it exactly!!! I will

head out Thursday to get food items. Let me know by then if you can.

They are saying the flooding here will be as bad or worse than when Agnes

went through in 1972. My sump pump has been running for 2 days but nothing in

the basement......yet!!! I am more concerned about the sinkholes that may

form.......VERY common around here.

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret

We are actually having Tornado watches here. My DH saw Lancaster was just

getting whacked with all the rainstorms about an hour ago.

Hi Margaret,

There will be five of us. All hot dogs, I think. My ry beads will be

on my window sill Thursday night with many prayers for dry weather.

LOL Gail. You remind me of my mom....she ALWAYS put the statue of the

Blessed Mother in the window when she wanted nice weather. Its a small thing

that my sister now has.....my Dad got stuck in the eye with a stick when he

was about 8, and my grandmother had him sit in front of the statue and pray

every day for his sight to come back. I'm sure the doctors told them it

would come back in time, but he was always convinced it was the statue of the

Blessed Mother that did it....LOL I'll tell my sister to put it in her

window!!!!!

LOL

LOL Donna! I don't know why I still do that, but I do. I actually do like

all the *old* traditions.........cause I'm OLD!!!!!! LOL Yes, have your

sister put Our Lady in the window. We will not only have a dry day, but a

sunny one! I'm convinced of it! LOL

, Iggy's Dad, from Spain has told me of some beautiful traditions there.

I'm envious of it all!

LOL Louise...reminds me of the time I rented a limmo to take my friends out

for a birthday celebration (easier for me to do them all at one time) The

place we were going to was about an hour away, so we said the ry on the

way. We had said to the driver that we hoped he didn't mind and he pulled his

beads from his pocket and said it sure beat saying it all alone as he usually

did! LOL Funny how that connected us all. We stayed in touch with him

until the day he died.

Gail :-)
