I am fuming today. Today was Autism Awareness Day at the Phila Zoo. We bought

our tickets a while back. Tori really loves it and I like to support them.

They have alot of ASD products, etc. on sale there as well. Well, anyway-my DH

did he Sunday bowling (as usual) and then came home at 12:15 (the zoo thing

started at 11). Sat down on the couch and said " Oh, I don't know if the weather

is good to go. " Mind you, last year was the same type of weather. Not sure if

it was going to rain or not. No, that was not what he wanted to say. He wanted

to say he didn't want to go. Well, I am sooooo furious. I am stuck at home ALL

THE TIME. We rarely go anywhere and do things together. He then says, " Do you

want to take Tori to the park? " No you jacka**, it's been raining all night!!!)

Sorry for flipping!

Liz,

Hang in there! They just drive us nuts sometimes, don't they? We have those

kinds of situations at our house too.

Also, happy to hear the conference went well for your group!

OMG! It seems like every week it is something and I don't know how much

more I can take. I think I am going to lose it real soon! And we just sit

in our recliner and say, " Oh, are you having a bad day, hon? "

I know how you feel Liz, believe me Mic has been home for 9 days and we have

been in the house. My brother came to me today and said Gee laurie I know what

you mean Mic is getting hard to handle I can see it in a month. UGH! Its still

not safe for us to go out and getting him in the stroller is not that easy. I

feel trapped. We made a deal I get one day a month all to myself and he gets Mic.

I havent done it yet though. Next saturday I think.Im hoping it will help. My

life revolves completely around them. But I am looking for solutions and we will

find them I hope. Laurie

Liz, I was giving some thought to this and could it be that maybe

our husbands need Pecs too. They say men a very visusal. Get a

picture of him and a picture of a (donkey)Ass and let him put it

together. I do alot of things with by myself and I rarely get

any time to do things by myself so I know how you feel.Today we were

supposed to go to an Autism event as a family and I completely

forgot. Do you think he remembered? Well no! Have a great Day Cyndi

The best was at 1:30 he asks, " Oh, do you want to try and go? " No you boob!

It is 1:30, takes an hour to get there..we should have left as soon as you

came home as originally planned!!! So you know what I did, I laid down on

the couch and went to sleep, and let him deal with Tori for a few hours. He

knows how nuts she gets crazy being stuck indoors (although she hates being

outdoors) and she was stuck inside all day yesterday, so today was a real

doozy!!! I ignored every scream from her, every I want, etc... Boy, when

I got up, he's telling me what a handful she is and how bad she can be. No

S*** you. I am with her every day, 24 hours a day.

Sorry! And thanks to all for your ears!!!!

Hi Liz,

If there is something special going on that I want my dh to go to I have to

remind him about 20 times each day starting the week before. He will use every

excuse possible to stay home. I rarely ask him to go any place. He has never

seen Zeb's soccer game, gone to a school meeting, parents day etc. It's a fight

to get him out to any of the grand's bd parties. If he won't go Zeb and I go

ourselves. I get little break from Zeb unless he is in school or I am working. I

have hired a sitter and gone on vacations without him or Zeb. I am due myself

for a real break soon. Today was one of those rare days that we went out alone.

It happens about 2x a year. My BIL stopped by last night to barrow a tv so I

told him it would cost him. He watched Zeb today.

Liz, Before went to school as soon as my husband got home from

work I would say see ya and head to walmart. I needed a break and I

knew that if I stayed home he would fall asleep in " the chair " and

never take care of . I work 9-2 mon-fri and I have about 1 1/2

before gets home from school to veg out and watch Dr. Phil and

part of Oprah, and sometimes I am falling asleep from the

stress. These DH (people) no matter how much they help never feel the

stresses that women feel to make everything perfect and try to

resolve the conflicts of potty training, figuring out what is wrong

with a sick child that is non-verbal, figuring out why this child is

hitting his head on the floor, the window, or trying to help these

little guys convey to us their needs. It breaks my heart to think

could be suffering in some way and he cannot tell me. We are

working on learning body parts. Thank goodness for songs like Head

and Shoulders, knees and Toes.Try to find ways to getaway everyday

if just to get in the car for a quiet ride with no screaming kiddo.

Ya know people have different love languages and our DH's sometimes

think that just because they work and support the family that should

be enough. Women on the other hand think if you cared about us you

would help more. I told you I think they need pecs too. Have a great

Day. Cyndi
