Guest guest
Hi Sherry, Sorry about your tough day today. I didn't realize you had major health issues to deal with. (((((((Hugs)))))))))) I hate it when Ken is out of town. It's not as bad as it used to be because I can take to the store without too much trouble these days. Next week the tables will turn because I have to go to Alaska to help take care of my sister who is having major surgery. She has cancer and I just have to go. Ken will take to work some days after school. We work at the same place so they're used to visits. She loves going into our office. She camps out in the conference room. At one chair she puts her portable DVD player. At another chair she puts her snack. At another chair she puts all her art stuff. She thinks she has the nicest office in the whole place. As far as her period goes, she has made strides. They aren't as heavy now. When her thyroid gets out of whack, they are worse. She still can't tolerate a pad next to her skin so we sandwich one in between two pairs of panties. It has to be a Kotex Ultra Thin Long Maxi, with red flowers on the package. No other pads are tolerated by her. But at night they must bug her because she always wakes up without one on so we use the panties then. I was just thinking about ordering some more. They are at Amerimark.com Just type in incontinence panties. They come in pink now. Kate will like that. Take care Therese > Thereses do you remember where you told me to get those incontinence panties > for jamie? the ones with the pad already inside. This was along time ago. So do you only use them during periods, or at nighttime as a diaper? Now I buy the Depends, but they're so darned expensive. I read on that site that these pants hold 7 1/2 ounces....WOW. Guest guest
Donna, Can't you get them through Medicaid? Isn't Maddie on the waiver program? Gail :-) I ordered a pair Therese. I talked with my caseworker, and this new change seems to be sticking....nobody in the city is getting the name brand. I've had two different insurance companies in the last six months (just switched back), and neither will pay. I was going to fight it, but just got done fighting the insurance co. to get her nexium paid for....one battle at a time!!! Donna

That is strange how one place will give the name brand and one won't. Wonder if it has something to do with each state being different? Carol Trishasmom She isn't Typical, She's Trisha! Guest guest
Thank you Therese, we'll be ordering panties today! And pink! what fun! why don't they make them in red LOL? She kept these on all day yesterday and when I went to rinse them out they came out clean so quickly I couldn't believe it. She was really flooding too (gross I know )and nothing came thru to the other side....don't know how they'd work instead of diapers - not sure the'd hold enough but they did a big job yesterday. sounds so cute sitting at her office desk. That's adorable. I'm so sorry about your sister; we'll be praying for you. Sherry

But they also make incontinence panties from other sources that are labelled " heavy flow " I think these are light to medium. So if these don't work, maybe some others. I'm thinking DrLeonards.com maybe? Sherry
