Guest guest
Hi, Lately I've been reading a lot about Candida albicans (yeast) overgrowth in the body, being a cause of FM. There's an extremely strict diet, herbs to take, etc. Has anyone on this list tried it, or know of anyone who has? I'd appreciate any answers. Thanks, dot
Guest guest
Hi Dot you may want to check out these address particularly the one on acid-alkaline , I think it might explain why so many of us FM suffers also have high yeast colonies....+ don't use anything with Aspartame in it since this feeds yeast. Guest guest
Dot, Have you checked into anything along dental materials and procedures? I have read that one reason the body makes yeast, is a response to mercury from amalgam fillings. I came across Tripp's website http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4966/indx.orig.htm she suffered from yeast for 10 years and no longer has a problem. I did the diet she did and took the SF-722 and Molybdenum Picolinate for a month and lost 12 lbs and felt much better. Guest guest
Hi, Dot, Sorry for the late reply, usual reasons plus exploding month long migraine. I was on a very rigid treatment for candida years ago. It included the powdered nystatin, hcl drops, garlic, glandulars, allergy shots (self administered), glycolic acid and various other supplements. This was under the care of a well known alternative doctor who has authored several books and currently publishes a newsletter. At this time, I had not been diagnosed with fibro, but had other aspects of the illness such as migraines, fatigue, and IBS. Under the treatment my digestion greatly improved, so much, that my IBS practically disappeared. My family moved a couple of states away and I couldn't maintain treatment with this doctor or I might have gained more improvement. The diet is a strict one and of course, all my favorite foods are on it, so I don't adhere to it today, but I have found a carb blocker which also blocks starches that helps me with the foods that I am allergic to. I read somewhere that most people with fibro have trouble digesting carbohydrates. I don't know why, but this helps me in this area, now if I could just find help in a few more areas, I could go out and have a LIFE. Good luck, Mabel
