Does your son have problems with nitrous oxide? I know that my sons do, and

that a lot of autistic children do. They will usually give nitrous before they

put your child to sleep. I know that my sons have problems b/c of yasko testing

(they have had nitrous before, no problems thank goodness). I know that a lot

of parents request that their children do not get the nitrous. Just thought

you'd want to know.

My son is having his tonsils and adenoids removed at the end of the

month. Are there supplements or meds (actos, LDN, ketoconzaole, etc)

that he should go off of beforehand? The doctor just told me no advil,

tylenol or aspirin for 2 weeks before.

thanks,

My daughter had this procedure done a year ago. I did request no

nitrous oxide and was told there are many options and they didn't

have to use that. She did fine and after a few months (when the

swelling went all the way down) her behaviors improved. She was not

having restful sleep and once she did, she was much happier.

It did take a long time for her to feel better--at least 14 days of

near continuous pain medicine. She ate lots of popsicles and rice ice

cream and ice chips for the first few days.

Good luck!
