Guest guest
, Does your son have problems with nitrous oxide? I know that my sons do, and that a lot of autistic children do. They will usually give nitrous before they put your child to sleep. I know that my sons have problems b/c of yasko testing (they have had nitrous before, no problems thank goodness). I know that a lot of parents request that their children do not get the nitrous. Just thought you'd want to know. The doctor just told me no advil, tylenol or aspirin for 2 weeks before. thanks, --------------------------------- It's here! Your new message! Get new email alerts with the free Yahoo! Toolbar. Guest guest
My daughter had this procedure done a year ago. I did request no nitrous oxide and was told there are many options and they didn't have to use that. She did fine and after a few months (when the swelling went all the way down) her behaviors improved. She was not having restful sleep and once she did, she was much happier. It did take a long time for her to feel better--at least 14 days of near continuous pain medicine. She ate lots of popsicles and rice ice cream and ice chips for the first few days. Good luck!
