Hi all! I had the PFT and saw my pulmonologist a couple of days ago. Update is: I am stable right now and Dr. has advised me use oxygen more often. I guess he means whenever I leave the house. Sooooo, I will put on my BOA (backpack of air) when I go out. I was going to use when I went to his office and simply forgot it! Not used to using it....So today we will go to Safeway and I WILL use it. Oxygen does help me. I am so often sob.

I'm also going back on the CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Dr. thinks it's a reason why I am sooooooo tired all the time. Not getting enough sleep. I tried the machine about 2 years ago and just could not adjust to it. I have a very small nose (only small thing I possess I think) and none of the equipment fit correctly. Hopefully there is something new now.

I've been reading the posts this morning (morning here in Oregon) and relate so much to the recent postings!

Sher, Try wearing your O2 around the house when your up and doing.

It sounds like you have oxygen deprived for a while. Have you slept with your O2? I never get on my feet without the hose in the nose.. but when I am sitting I don't use it. My oximeter has saved me from hours of hose in the nose. My stat. stays around 97, 98, 99 until I stand up then it drops like a rock. I promise you'll get the hang of it. Blessings...Peggy
