a question about best cervical spine problem

Good evening all,

I've a question about;

What would be the best way to diagnose a disc and a nerve damage

problem to the lower Cervical spine.

Besides the uaual EMG,

I mean, would a cervical spine CT (computered topography) with a

contrast dye, be just as good as an MRI ?

One of my doctors would like me to get the CT, while another Doctor

wants me to get an MRI.

I asked both to talk first to one another and get back to me on

which scan is preferable.
