I have noticed that a lot of you along with myself have sleeping

problems which come with chronic pain and depression.

I have noticed a change in my sleeping habits once I started taking

6mgs of melatonin every night right when I get into bed. I take this

along with my other sleeping pills and since it is a natural substance you do

not need a RX to get it. You can get it at any health food place or even

Walmart.

The usual dose is 3 mgs but when your taking a lot of medications 6 MG seem to

work much better and it does not make you groggy in the AM. ALso a lot of

sleeping meds do not work well when mixed with other narcotics. Most doctors

don't realize this and just prescribe them.

Also, I wanted to share another thing I have found out. I know there

are a lot of sleeping medications out there and they all have problems

associated with their chronic need for them.

There is a drug which they prescribe for depression and for nerve pain which is

called Elavil or Amitryptline and it does work wonders at helping you sleep

through the night and raises your spirits during the day because it's an

anti-depressant.
