Guest guest
asked how I am doing. Hanging on. Dale is nearing the end of his life here on earth. He is having language troubles, and sometimes sees things that aren't there. Until last night he could say he saw them but knew they were not real. Now he cannot tell dillusion from reality. He still takes his daily shower and then sleeps all day. He did want to go shopping yesterday though. He can get very frustrated when trying to communicate. Hospice Nurse thinks we have a week or so. I still work some and stay home some. He eats very little. But it finally does stay down. My mother has been here for a month helping me. She goes home tomorrow. His oldest daughter is a big help right now, his middle daughter is 15 and rebelling. So I am dealing with that as well. Church and friends are a big help. Guest guest
Juel was asking after you. I'm sure she will have great empathy with you as she lost in a similar way last year. My heart and thoughts go out to you and I wish you great strength both up to Dale's passing and beyond. At this stage we rue the day the disease caught hold and hope that the passing will be as painless as possible. Haev a cup of tea with me - you on your side of the Atlantic and me on mine! Guest guest
Juel, I remember being where you are. I felt as if I was walking through a fog and doing what had to be done. It is probably the most difficult thing that I did but today I feel good about the process. I focused on Bill and his needs for the the end time. It was about a week that it took him to die. He would come and go during that time and he was able to communicate at least through touch toward the end. I am hugging you. Just know that we are supporting you and you are not alone. Once the end comes, rest as much as you can. Let other continue to help. Allow yourself to feel all the emotions that you have.
