I thought no response from you meant that I had overstepped and upset you. Not my intention. Sometimes I have very strong opinions and I let them run rampant rather then reining them in and saying things the politically correct way. Thankfully BB no longer has his head in the noose that NCP created for him. I wonder if TQ can look herself in the mirror anymore. She has disappointed many people who believed in her and held her in a very high regard. If I knew that she was remorseful then I would start to see her in a different light. Regardless I will move on. I hope this partnership with GT proves to be a fruitful one for and Taebots all over the world.

Guest guest
I'm not wanting to start a fight or anything and I truely believe we all are intitled to our own opinion and should respect that. I just know that Michele was the one that helped me on the start of my Taebo journey just as many of you here continue to do the same thing after my four years of doing Taebo - she took the time to answer many questions and to support a lot of people - her board was the only one I posted on and through that board, I was invited to be here. At the time, her dad was doing something with some pills - it was before Malibu so I don't know if it was a prestart to that or not - she never, ever pushed that or any product other then Taebo. I know a few people met her in California and she even went out to eat with them - her being down to home and just like us - aiming to get healthy and lose weight - made her reachable. If my dad did something wrong, I wouldn't want to be judged because of his actions - I would still love my dad though even if I didn't agree with him. I don't know if I'm making any sense but I just don't think she should be blamed or punished because of what happened with her dad. I honestly don't know what my take on her Taebo center is. I know I had a friend almost get sued in Wisconsin when Taebo first came out and she made the mistake of telling people she was going to give a " Taebo " class - when 's lawyer called the city mayor (she was teaching it through a city program) and explained they had to pay so much for each person that had attended the class because she called it Taebo (she had only taught it one or two times before he called) - I would say then you should have to be certified to teach it whether her dad own's the Taebo name or not along with anyone else that teaches there. If others were getting sued or threatened to be sued because they weren't certified . . . Anyway, the bottom line is that I'm very grateful that Taebo is a part of my life and for all the people that it has brought into it. Even though I haven't met any of you face to face, I consider you friends and I have seen more kindness and thoughfulness through this board - it really is a special place. Thank you for being you and for your Taebo experiences, your advice and wisdom. le > In a message dated 10/11/2003 7:24:32 AM Pacific Daylight Time, > js.tate@g... writes: > I wonder if the center in Ohio will survive all of this. Guest guest
> I don't know if I'm > making any sense but I just don't think she should be blamed or > punished because of what happened with her dad. le, I know that there are many people out there who were/are inspired by Reber and what she has accomplished, and you certainly have a right to express your opinions just as I have expressed mine I agree that I wouldn't want to be judged by something one of my parents did, however, has chosen to reap the benefits of that wrongdoing. She continues to run a Center that does not have certified instructors. She is not involved with or Team Tae Bo anymore and so yes, I do blame her for not standing up and doing what is right. I understand that she motivated a lot of people in the beginning. She definitely did take the time to answer posts and she and her struggles seemed 'real'. However, with all that has happened and come out with regards to NCP and Malibu Naturals, I guess I just question her sincerity and the truthfulness of what she told people. I would bet my life on the fact that she used the Malibu Natural products to help her lose weight (she even promotes the MN weightloss products and pushes the whole 'you can make money while you lose weight' aspect at the end of several of the videos that NCP released more recently). Using the MN products in and of itself is not a bad thing (how many of us haven't tried everything under the sun to help us lose weight?), however, Michele always said 'I didn't change my diet....I just did Tae Bo'. I guess I just have a hard time swallowing that and thus, I have a hard time looking at her as a role model. However, I am very grateful that she took the time in the beginning to answer questions from people who were new to Tae Bo. I, too, made a lot of friends over at that board and I am grateful for that. Also, I don't know if you remember this but I was one of the people who went out there and met Michele and when I came back I actually said that I had a gotten a bad impression of her because of some things she had said and the way she had acted. I actually got SLAMMED for those comments on this board and it kind of started a whole controversy at which time I said that was my first impression and I was willing to give her a second chance. Guess for me at least....my first impression was right! Again, please feel free to post your opposing opinions (everyone has a right to their opinions and a right to express them). I just happen to feel the opposite But, I think it's always good to hear differing view points (we all might learn something new)!
Guest guest
Hi ! It's great to hear from you!!! How are you doing? Have you talked to Susi lately? I need to e-mail her - haven't in ages. I didn't realize that she is now promoting the weight loss stuff - putting Malibu with Taebo IS wrong - they are TWO separate things and should be treated as such. Like I said, I don't agree with using the Taebo name either unless you are certified to use it - no matter if your dad " owns " the name or not. And I don't think I was here yet when they had that gathering in LA because I don't remember anything being said - that is really too bad you got slammed for your opinion. Usually our first impressions are the ones to go with. They can be wrong of course but I bet the highest average is there not. And you are of course going to learn more about a person's personality when you are face to face rather then just reading someone's typed words. That is the part that makes me the most envious when there are Taebo get-togethers. You get to know people here by the typed words and form ideas of what they look like and their personalities and those that get to actually meet each other in person - it's putting it ALL together if that makes any sense. Thanks for giving me another side ! It is appreciated. How is the teaching going? How's Skylar? Growing like a weed I'm sure. It happens so fast! I have a fourth grader and second grader this year - and Cayden will be 10 at the end of November - I'm having a real hard time with this double digit thing!!!!! Take care - le > > le, > > I know that there are many people out there who were/are inspired by > Reber and what she has accomplished, and you certainly have > a right to express your opinions just as I have expressed mine > > I agree that I wouldn't want to be judged by something one of my > parents did, however, has chosen to reap the benefits of > that wrongdoing. Guest guest
I just got my Taebo digest and read all the other posts prior to the one I posted - so I hadn't read those first - wow! I was just responding to the first post - I didn't realize that opened the center before she was even certified and that no one else can use the " Taebo " name for their place of business. Now I know what you meant about her using her dad's leverage to get where she is. That is so sad. And so not fair. did have a post once that did say she was taking things (herbs, etc.) - but she never did go into it and I think she was asked. I just figured it was later - I mean, why say you lost weight by just doing Taebo if you were doing something else too? Why lie about it? Basically, it's like someone doing Weight Watcher's, Aitkins, Zone - and Taebo - only some take a weight loss pill and exercise instead. I'm not saying I think it's the right way to do it (pills) but if it works for you and you are alright with it - it's not for me to say - just don't say you are doing exercise alone and accomplishing your weight loss when you aren't. A person can learn something new everyday. How stale life would be if a person didn't!
Guest guest
Well, I certainly have decided not to teach TaeBo until I get certified. It doesn't sound worth it, besides I want to go to boot camp and be certified anyway> Sam Re: Question about the new videos I'm not wanting to start a fight or anything and I truely believe we all are intitled to our own opinion and should respect that.
