Guest guest
My boss and my supervisor just came to my desk to train me on how to do something. They were both leaning over my shoulders and both were popping and cracking gum like lunatics, one in each ear. Not to mention the sucking and smacking sounds that go along with it while chewing gum and talking... I wanted to bust them both in the chops with my elbows, but just kept telling myself to control it, there's nothing you can do and you HAVE to be nice... Thank god it was only a 2 minute thing and they both left my cubicle. There is nothing... NOTHING... that bothers me more than gum chewing. I wanted to get a haircut yesterday but the woman who was checking me in and going to cut my hair was chomping gum like a cow. I turned around and walked out. Don't people realize they look and sound like animals when they do that? Or does it really not bother anybody but US, the poor 4S sufferers? Oh how I wish gum was illegal in the US... :-) Now that I have learned about 4S and discovered there's lots of people like me out there, it all makes sense. As a kid I either brought my dinner plate in my room, or I sat at the table with headphones blasting music. Once during a long car trip my dad chewed gum the entire time and I sat with a blanket over my head so I couldn't see his jaw moving, and wore headphones. My parents just thought I was " quirky " ... I was recently put on Xanax which has helped my anxiety tremendously, but has had no effect on the 4S... I was sure hoping it would help. Meh, just needed to vent a little bit... :-)
