Looking for some help with the abbreviation " HR " in reporting

statistical findings.

This is a medical manuscript, investigating more accurate cancer

prognoses based on various factors. The sentence:

for which I have a draft:

" In separate multivariable regression models adjusted respectively for

the factors of A, B, C, D, E, F and G, the interval-scaled [biopsy finding]

(**HR** 1.01; p=0.002) and the [biopsy finding] ordinal-scaled by 20% (HR

1.65; p<0.001) exhibit an independent effect on the cancer-specific

survival. "

I figure " HR " is something pretty obvious, like a correlation

coefficient, but nothing is coming to mind and my usual sources are silent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
