Guest guest
Hello all, I have been meaning to ask this question to all, and I don't know if this has been discussed here already, but: Does 4S only include sensitivity to sounds? What about when you can't stand certain smells and movements? My condition started when I was a teenager (can't remember exactly the age or what triggered it). It started with irritation when my mom was eating something that cracked (sunflower seeds, nuts, crackers, etc.) Then I could not stand in general any more the chumping, chewing gum. Within the last couple of years it developed more into gross irritation when anyone was eating, even the movement of their hands when lifting a spoon or a glass to their mouth. I can't see when someone is moving their jaws when chewing a gum, let alone hear ANY noise related to gum! The smell of certain food cooking also has same effect on me. I never knew it was a condition many people suffered from, did not know that it even had a name. People around me are not aware of the extent of the irritation it has for me, it will not be understood. So being part of this group is a relief. E.
