We have a second database set up for more information. We can't add anymore

to our current one. If you are looking for symptoms we have a second

datatbase for that and for causes/exposures we could set up another one.

Not many people have participated the other two databases I made.

Reminder everyone, please stop by to fill out your information in the

databases that Peg worked so hard to create. This information is very

helpful to other group members, and could help in the research group that A

few of us members have started.

To do this, log onto Egroups, and enter your email address. If you don't yet

have a password set, you can click the button that says " forgot " above where

you're supposed to enter your password. Egroups will then send you a

confirmation number, along with instructions on how to set your password.

After you are logged onto egroups, you can click the button that says

" database " and it should bring up all of the different databases that have

been created. Please pay close attention to how things are arranged so that

sorting will be easier for other members. If you have any problems, you can

email me personally, and I'd be happy to help you out! As for the " buddy

list " database, if you don't have a buddy, and you would like one... please

send me the City and State that you live in, and I'll try to find you a

buddy, or I will put you with an existing Buddy group. For any questions on

this, you can email me personally. Thanks SO much!!!!!!

Thanks ,

I have mislaid my directions. I find it easy to go to the bottom of a post and

access the databases but then you might have to get past the password thing. I

find every so often I have to do it again but e-groups gets back to you almost

immediately with a new one. It would be good for everyone to fill in the other

2

I made which gives us a little more infor and they are easy to change we are

limited on the amount of fields for each database, hence the additional ones. I

went in a cleaned up a few to help the sort process.

Hi Peg,

I know that I am completely " brain dead " , but what are you talking about

with the databases and where are they?

Is this something new or have I just been in La-La-Land?

Hugs,

Biddy

Hi ,

Is the address one would use is Egroups.com

Please let me know as I would like to check this out. Don't know where I

have been -- probably in la-la-land as usual!

Hugs,

Biddy

Hi Peg,

The survey I did on symptoms and causes is in the database you are

talking about?

I really don't know about my mind, but I forgot -- I believe -- to list

2 of my original symptoms. Maybe you could add this.

Red palms -- the middle of the palm is white.

Bruising -- I started about 10 years ago bruising like my mother does. I

think it is where the blood bruises just under the skin and turns purple. I

asked Dr. Killenberg at Duke about the bruising and he told me that is just

one of the symptoms of liver disease.

The first time I went to Duke, the first thing he did was to look at my

palms. I asked him why and he showed me.

Just some trivia in the ongoing saga of PSC and what may have caused it

and the symptoms of this disease.

I anyone going to show the symptoms and potential causes of PSC to any

doctor? I tried to show it to my doc locally and he just crumbled it up and

threw it in the waste basket. I dare not show this to my doc at Duke -- I

just cannot imagine what he would do.

Don't the doctors know that we are only trying to help with a cure?

Doesn't seem like there is much research going on -- but I believe our lists

would give them some much-needed insight to PSC.

Hugs,

Biddy

Hugs,

Biddy

PS: You know by now that I need simple instructions for this " brain fog "

mind.

Biddy,

Go to www., and enter your email address and password, this

will then take you to where you can look through the databases,

and enter your information if it isn't there already. If you have any

problems, email me personally, and I'd be glad to help you.
