Sharon,

I am on 75mg once at night. I have gained weight, feel hungry all he time, and

also feel full and bloated all the time (seem weird to be hungry and bloated at

the same time?). I have only gained 5-7 pounds but its enough to have me

concerned.

Sharon/Caitlin,

I am on 100 mg in the AM and 100 mg at night. I know exactly what

you mean. I have been wondering " how in the world can I be so

bloated and yet want to eat? " This is crazy. I really feel that it

is working in congunction with the Cymbalta 60 mg that I just take at

night. I do walk a lot in my job. I have been up and down and over

and around this plant and yet I feel like I am gaining weight just by

looking at food.

Don't have a clue what to do about this?

Beth,

I don't know either. I thought about taking some kind of water pill but have

never done that before and don't know how safe it is. Have you had any edema

(Swelling of hands or feet?), its listed as a side effect as well. I haven't but

am on the look-out, just in case.

Take care,

Caitlin

Hey Sharon,

I take Zanaflex and Hydrocodone (when my Dr. will give it to me) for

pain. I have had Fibromyalgia for about 12 years. It kicked in more

when I had a car wreck in 2001. I broke my ankle/leg in the wreck and

then the plate broke in my leg, then non-union fracture. I was in a

cast on crutches for 2 1/2 years. All that threw my back out of whack

(protrusions/hernation), which was already vulnerable from having size

H/I breast (had breast reduction since then). I have cysts in my

shoulders that cause pain and impinged/compressed nerves in my neck

area that creates nerve pain that goes down my shoulder and arm.

lately, the bottems of my feet have been hurting pretty badly. UGH! So

really I have been in chronic pain for about 5 years now. Shwew.

I have tried most of the non-narcotic meds out there (and a few of the

narcotics too). I have been to Physical Therapy and wear a Tens Unit

often. I have tried accupunture, massage, exercise, homeopathy, you

name it. My pain Dr. wants me to try injections, but I have yet to do

this yet. I have been to 2 Pain specialist, neurologist, and

rheumatologist.

Today my Dr. switched me from Lyrica to Topamax. I had gained 10

pounds in 3-4 months and this is only on 75 mg. of Lyrica a night. I

also had what I think is similar to a panic attack, twice in the last

week. Finally I had enough and decided to try the Topamax, even though

the Lyrica was helping.

E me offline if you like. Hope I answered some questions for you :)
