Guest guest
At 201.6 lbs w/ 30.82% bf.. your lean body mass (all your weight EXEPT fat)... was about 141. thats 60 some-odd pounds of FAT. now.. you weigh in at 181.4 w/ 25.45% bf.. thats a lean body mass of 135.24 w/ 46 some-od lbs of fat.. so.. you so yes. you are correct. somewhere you lost muscle. I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel stronger, and look good, and feel good. go with it. when you get to your bf% goal.. then you can start zero-ing in on building muscle back... what are you eating? are you eating enough protien to accomodate the muscle repair? are you doing more cardio than BFL recommends? zoning into the 40-60 minute per cardio session more than 3x a week COULD be burning some of your hard earned muscle as well.... but again.. i wouldnt worry about it so much until you get to about 15%bf --- Jon wrote: > Hi all, > > I just finished week 12 and was looking at all the > metrics. Guest guest
oh.. and lean body mass, again is everything but fat... .so .. you might not have lost 5 lbs of muscle... you may have lost 3.5 of muscle, and 1.5 of a lot of everything else... water.. etc.. there are many variables. so .. again.. dont worry about it. for now. --- O'Connell wrote: > At 201.6 lbs w/ 30.82% bf.. your lean body mass (all > your weight EXEPT fat)... was about 141. thats 60 > some-odd pounds of FAT. > > now.. you weigh in at 181.4 w/ 25.45% bf.. thats a > lean body mass of 135.24 w/ 46 some-od lbs of fat.. > so.. > you so yes. you are correct. > > somewhere you lost muscle. Guest guest
Thanks . I pretty much stuck to the diet. I'd say I did the 40/40/20 95% of the time (except free days where I pigged out). I also didn't really do any extra cardio...3 days was enough I'm taking a week off and looking forward to starting challeng 2. Maybe I'll try to increase the protein next time around. I have a ways to go to get to my BF% goal (<10%) so I'll keep at it. Thanks, Jon > > > Hi all, > > > > I just finished week 12 and was looking at all the > > metrics. Guest guest
I wouldn't worry that much about it. You're losing a lot of bodyfat which is excellent and the percentage of lean mass loss could be other things besides just muscle. Keep up the good work. Guest guest
It may be that your beginning or ending BF isn't correct. BF measurement is only an estimate. Some methods are more accurate than others. What measurement method did you use? Andy > Hi all, > > I just finished week 12 and was looking at all the metrics. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for all the responses. I actually used two methods and they were remarkably similar. 1) A formula I found on the web using weight and Belly size. 2) A scale at our house that also gives body fat % by sending electrical pulses through the body or something like that. I actually have an appt on May 8th at a local college where they do the dunk tank for $30. That's the date I start challenge 2. I'll see what that says and then do it again in 12 weeks. Thanks again! > > Hi all, > > > > I just finished week 12 and was looking at all the metrics. Guest guest
Lean body mass also includes water. So, you could have lost water weight too. > > > Hi all, > > > > I just finished week 12 and was looking at all the > > metrics.
