Guest guest
I know I do cheery posts and it is selfishly for me I suppose, because it lifts me above the pain, to be positive. I learnt years ago that this was the best way for me to cope and after a bit of time, the rest of me reaches the level my cheery thoughts have dragged me up to.......! I also try to find humour in everyday things or I would sit in a heap crying some times. I am also very aware that most of you have a much greater degree of pain with your RSD, it being further advanced than mine. I apologise if my cheery posts offend! Guest guest
Margot how can anyone be offended by your posts? If anything, they give us something to lift us up and make us laugh. And honey the stages have nothing to do with degree of pain, different stages only mean degree of involvement, degree of use (or lack thereof) and degree of atrophy. What that means (as explained to me by my anesthesiologist), is that a person with one arm involved, suffers pain as intensely as a person who has both arms involved. So please don't think my pain is more intense because I am full body, than yours because you are not. Having full body involvement means that my immune system is all messed up (so I get sick more often), my heart is involved (I've 2 arteries collapse), and my liver and kidneys although still fully functional, are not healthy as most people's simply because I have to take more medications because of the complications. But sweetheart, from when I was in Stage 1 to now that I am in Stage 3, the intensity, frequency and degree os pain hasn't changed. Your pain is just as real as mine and please do not apologize for having a positive attitude (thanks to therapy, so do I - LOL), it is your nature and it helps you deal with your pain more effectively. Feel lucky that you have that gift and learn to share it with others, cause according to my therapist, everyone can learn to think positive. Hoping for pain tolerant days for everyone and sleep filled nights, your friend and RSD sister. -- Bright Blessings Isis ~ " Life is easier to take than you think. Guest guest
Hi All! I just wanted to make a comment on Judy's most recent post. Quite frankly, I've had enough of her silliness. I have refused to even answer her on the list, and have requested she go private if she has things to say to me. I've gone as far as I'm going with her. I've not seen anyone " jump on the bandwagon " , in fact, I haven't seen anyone mention the incident except her. So, please, do not let her words upset you. She is angry with me, not any of you. I'm very upset that this is continuing, but hopefully this is the end of it. Thank you for putting up with this stuff. It is not what should have happened. I truly hope she enjoys all of the wonderful things she mentioned in her post, maybe it will make her smile! Hugs, Jo
