Guest guest
Kris....My daughter gets Aid to the Needy Blind. We live in NH. I taked to someone from the Medicaid office, which is where i went to get it, and they said it does depend on the state you live in. Not all states have such a program. They told me the onlyn thing to do is contact the main office for Medicaid in your state capital and ask around there. They will know for sure. Some of the smaller local medicaid offices may not even know about it even if it is available in your state. Good Luck. Guest guest
, I am so behind on my e-mail, but I wanted to let you know that I just got $2400 from DDD for . You can apply for the money every 2 years. You can use the money for anything you want, but I told them I needed it for Nursing coverage when I need a break, even though I am not using it for that. My DDD person helped me along (if you know what I mean) with my application. They review applications every 3 months. I didn't even have to fill anything out, my DDD rep did it for me!!!! I do get services from the Commission for the Blind too. I get $500 a year respite money, plus they paid for Nick's hearing aid. They will pay for glasses, etc too. Give me a call if you have any questions. Steffi - fellow NJ CHaRGE mom
Guest guest
, We don't qualify for anything either based on income. My husband makes too much money too. This was just based on for a change! Where do you live? By the way, we didn't qualify for Medicade either, based on income, but I finally got it for after contacting a state assemblyman. After 10 months of me trying everything I knew, this assemblyman BOB SMITH wrote a letter and the next day, I got a phone call saying that he was approved for a medicade waiver program!!!! So, everything is not dependent on income after all!!!! Steffi
Guest guest
Steffi, Thanks so much for the info! I did get money recently from DDD for Caitlin and i bought her a great swingset jungle gym. This was what she really wanted! Now after all this time social security has been saying my new husbands income would disqualify her, a guy from SS called yesterday and said they wanted his paystubs from November, I said cant you just tell me if she is going to be cut off and he said oh, he is not the childs father so his income wont matter! I sure hope he knows what he is talking about. He said they just have to know what his income is but it wont matter. I am so happy to see someone else from NJ. Where do you live? I live in Egg Harbor Twp. Maybe we can get together sometime. My number is .

Here's my number don't hesitate to call. I am in North Brunswick for now. We are going to move within the next year or so, in order to be closer to Nicky's school (Katenbach).
