Simon,

You want to make a SOFT soap? I usually work my formulas to make a

harder, longer lasting bar of soap that doesn't melt in the shower

after a few uses....what is the soap for?

Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Just a good brand.Susie ~

Hello everyone.

I was going to try giving my son the olive oil and was wondering if there was a certain brand that is recommended? Is it just olive oil or extra virgin olive oil? Thanks.

hi

last night i tried a tablespoon with my daughter..no luck.  how much

should i give her?  she is 5, and 49 lbs.

I broke down and gave her more pedia lax magnesium pills that usually

work.

I would rather do something else for maintenance because the ped Nurse

said it is a magnesium OD to give her 3 pedia lax every day to keep her

pooping.  Any thoughts on that?

Hi Angi,The first time I gave dd OO she went to the bathroom a few hours later. That has not happened sense. I think for my dd it was just coincidence. But what I have noticed is that it keeps the poop soft and not huge hard balls that hurt so badly. So you might want to look for that benefit to see if you want to continue with the OO.

As far as mag OD, what would the nurse say would be the better option?? Miralax?? I don't know what to tell you except I use a variety of things. If dd doesn't go in a few days I give her either Pedilax glycerin  or an enema in addition to mag.

Did you use the extra virgin oil? This is pure not processed. OD? By the time my son was 6 they was wanting him on 3 adult doses of miralax, it is not even ment for for children and they just kept adding more dosage(they was ODing my son on miralax). Give the Olive oil some time, it took a second dose for my son to see results and be sure and get water in as much as possible. I have noticed a difference with the supplements if I give water after. Also the pedia lax(if senna) is a stimulant form(stimulant forms is when doctors use caution). Im guessing if you use the olive oil then you can lower the pedi lax or try another stimulant form. Aloe juice has stimulant to it. We alternate different things, but only try one thing at a time to see what is doing what. Is she on pedia lax with magnesium or senna? The point in magnesium is giving to much to cause the

loose stools, it is the body excreting what it doesnt need. The senna is a stimulant form. I promise you the magnesium is much safer than the miralax. The body requires magnesium in every cell and well excrete what it doesnt need. Have you added vitamin C? This has similer affects and the body gets rid of what it doesnt need for the day(loose stools). Also consider an olive leaf extract on occaision. Many of our kids are constipated due to the gi being overloaded with bad bacteria, virus's(vaccines can cause this also), antibiotics/fungus, yeast(kills the good needed bacteria in the intestines and this is needed for good stools also). Add cultured yogurts. No cheese, rice, banana's(this one is controversal but we seen it constipate), breads avoid(at least until the gi is balanced), corn(fungal issue), etc etc. Jennie<><
