White vinagar, Baking soda, Borax 20 mule team. 

Borax in the wash, Vinagar in the rinse cycle.  

Bleach is the worst thing you can do.  One of the most unhealthy things you

should be around.   I wish they would make it a controlled substance.  You would

need a lincense to buy after you take a class and pass a test.

I am looking for an additive to throw in my laundry that is an

antifungal agent safe for all

washable fabrics. This may be a dumb questions, but I can find nothing in the

local stores

that even mentions antifungal.

Also, I am looking for an antifungal spray to use on a daily basis. Clorox

Everywhere seems

like a good idea, but I wonder if it is strong enough.

All ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you. I use the vinegar sometimes now, but will start adding it to every

load

As for the clorox, I am not using it on my clothes, there is a spray called

Clorox Everywhere that I spray the kitchen counters and sink. Here's the link.

I use vinegar or hydrogen peroxide.  Both non-toxic.  $1.00 spray bottle.   A

gallon of vinegar 2 bucks and peroxide a buck.  If you can't put it in your

mouth or skin you have no business breathing it in.  I cleaned my oven spotless

with vinegar.  I was amazed.  It got out the hard water stains in my toilet.  I

use it to mop my floor, it kills weeds cleans my windows.  great deodorizers. 

neutralizes fragrance in a second.   

My advice to everyone is get off the chemicals!!!!!  None of them are safe!

I like the same combo, 1/2 to 1 cup baking soda in wash and 1 cup of

ammonia in rinse water. Everything comes out really clean and no odor.

I must add though my wash comes out odor free and very clean, that

after laundrying everything in house, I stored many things in plastic

containers to protect it from anything in air, if I found that indoor

air wasn't good yet, and when I take things out that have been in there

awhile, they smell and I have to wash again. Does this smell, I assume

coming from plastic, eventually disapate, or does anyone have any ideas

of good things to 'store' clothing, blankets, etc in after washing

them, or is it better to put them on closet shelves, not enclose them

in a container at all?
