Guest guest
I love, love, love Pilates. Just went for my certification to start teaching it (along with Tae Bo). Pilates is a GREAT compliment to Tae Bo. Plus, any type of core strengthening exercises will help you with your Tae Bo form and techniques. Great choice! Keep up the hard work :0) -- and yes, it is hard but so much fun ;0) > Anyway, now I am combining Tae Bo, the Firm & pilates each week. Guest guest
Thanks for the 'feedback' =) It's so, so awesome that you are getting certified to teach Pilates and Tae Bo. I would love to be THAT good at Tae Bo but am still taking baby steps. That's one of the beautiful things about TB though. You can still sweat buckets while taking baby steps ;-) Is that TMI? Sorry if it is. Anyway, you are too cool =) The Pilates that I'm doing right now is actually the Lotte Berk Method and Bar Method Body, both on DVD. The 2nd is a 2 DVD set and is, IMHO, a little more difficult (but better instructed) than the 1st set. Both teach the Lotte Berk Method and both fry everything but the upper body. My upper body needs lots of work too. That's why I think Tae Bo every other day will burn the fat and get to 'muscles-in-hiding' ;-) darlene > > Anyway, now I am combining Tae Bo, the Firm & pilates each week. > I > > still probably only average 4 or 5 workouts per week but am just > > happy that I am getting some good cardio workouts in. > > > > I am not sure what else to say. Guest guest
Welcome Darlene! You will enjoy this group so very much. They are uplifting and completely supportive! You are doing terrific with your workouts. Don't be bothered with the number of workouts you get in.... It's all about "quality" workouts and that's what matters. Taebo to us here...is a fabulous workout. I myself have been doing Taebo for almost 4 years....(wow...I'm coming upon my Taebo anniversary). Anyhoo...take this group in with full stride. They are wonderful....and I know that you will be a wonderful addition to the group! Welcome!!!! Darlene wrote: I am realitively new to Tae Bo but not to working out. Guest guest
Thanks Gymmie! I think and I are going to have to drag you to a Boot Camp for you to get certified :0) I know you haven't done it yet for various reasons but I hope one day soon you will be able to go. If anyone should be spreading the Tae Bo Way out there, it should definitely be you. The last year and a half of teaching Tae Bo has been the greatest and has really gotten me interested in and into different areas of fitness. I wouldn't trade my experiences for the world. Guest guest
Thanks Sam !!!!!!!!!! Definitely a success already, just need to get my butt down there during camp and get certified. I've been trying for the last few years and just haven't done it. It seemed like something would ALWAYS come up and eat the money I had for camp. But I HAVE to do it this time. I guess a lot of it is the newness of being an instructor, but everyone started somewhere. Guest guest
What I do is pump up my workouts and make sure I'm really concentrating on form. I also throw in a few days of doing more than one advananced workout in a day. Whether I do it once in the am and once in the pm or do them back to back. To help keep my endurance up. I've taken 4 classes in a row before, so I know I have the endurance. Watkins wrote: Hi Gymmie, How do you prepare for boot camp? Watkins * Remember...
