Guest guest
Sher, I work with Developmentally Disabled clients in a home setting. When I first started, I was lifting 5 days to of the week. Their weights varied and it was always a double lift, but that wore me down so fast. I went to another home last April, through the same agency, so thank goodness my benefits and everything followed me, but they all are ambulatory. When I work my day shift on Mondays, I get to spend good time with the clients. I do like it, but am glad I have the night shift job. They go everywhere.. LoL, always busy. Shhh... Don't tell anyone, I kind of like Larry the Cable Guy too.. All the Blue Collar guys are funny, but I do like his, '"get 'er done." Walking 25 minutes 2 x's a week is awesome. I know that walking is good for you and thank goodness on some Mondays the clients go for walks and I have been forcing myself to use the stairs more often. I don't get as winded going up the stairs as I used to, but the other night when I had to, wow.. My heart pounded like a sunofamahgun. LoL Thank the good Lord above that at least that works well.. So far.. Whew.. Congrats on your 25 minutes 2 x's a week... Keep up the good work. I am not as SOB as I was before, so I think the two new meds are working well for me.. Thank you for your kind words. A =============================== From: Sher K Bauman Date: 07/02/06 12:12:21 To: Breathe-Support Subject: Re: Sher to , thanks for your reply too. I frequently have a problem keeping everyone straight...IM...email names and on the board. What type of work do you do? I could not work any longer. It's a good thing I'm an old lady! LOL 'cause I couldn't "git-her-done" anymore. (Previous messages show a lot of us like Larry the Cable Guy). I agree, I learn more here on the board than my Pulm/Dr. My PT at re-hab is very helpful as well. Did I tell you I go 2x wk? I'm doing fairly well. Walking about 25 min each time. I hope you infection clears quickly! Sher ipf 5-
