Guest guest
I am asking for all of your prayers. Has nothing to do with lbd, it is me this time. I was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus this past Tues. Will be going to Shands Hospital in Gainsville Fl for consultation about surgery and treatment afterwards. Seems the kind I have will need treatment after surgery. I am praying for a miracle. God still is in the healing business. I am concerned about the sister living with us and Wayne (my husband) he has heart problems, just really wanted to be around and healthy for the 2 of them God bless all of you as you continue on the journey. Guest guest
Jayne, I am very sorry. I hope all the prayers in your behalf will be answered. My sister had Stomach cancer, and she, too, had chemo, and that has not come back, and it has been well over five years. My MIL Had cancer more times than I could keep up with. Once a tumor was the size of a grapefruit, and she lived in spite of what she had been through from the age of 35 on to 78. Her family had a strong history of it. Every time she had it, it was in a different area. It was back when they burned her, literally, with radiation, and gave her Chemo. Thay don't do that today. So be like her, in having a strong faith, and the will to pull through. And yes, prayers from everyone will be forthcoming. Imogene Caregiver for my True Texas Gentleman husband of 35 years. Guest guest
Jayn, Prayers by the bucket load coming your way. My best friends mum has the same type of cancer and she too had surgery followed by chemo, she was told it didn't look good for her and she's doing absolutely brilliantly now over two & half yrs later, no sign of cancer at all with only a very slim chance of it returning. Loads of love to you. .xxx off topic ************** >I am asking for all of your prayers. Guest guest
Dear Jayn, The shock and concern you are experiencing are evident in your sending. I am sorry you have to go through this. I went the whole journey with Mom 10 years ago when she had to have her uterus removed at age 82 because of cancer. At the time she was 2 years into her PDD. The doctor told us that if you are going to get cancer, this is one of the best as the uterus is its own confined little area and it takes a much longer time for the cancer to be able to spread. Removing it in its confined area is more successful than with other kinds. Mom was followed with radiation as she had let it go on longer than most of us would before getting diagnosed and has remained cancer free for 10 years. Maintain the hope and all the best to you. , Oakville Ont. Mom 92, 12 1/2 years " Parkinsons " 3 1/2 years ago LBD diagnosis, evident much longer in hindsight. Encouraged to give up her licence 6 years ago. Currently immobile, in tilt wheelchair, spoonfed pureed food. Spends most of days behind closed eyes. Eltroxin, Tylenol 500 mg 3-4 times a day Off Aricept since Feb./06 > > I am asking for all of your prayers. Guest guest
Jayn, I am so sorry about your dx. I am sending you much postive thoughts, prayers and hugs. I would feel better knowing that you are going to reach out to others for some help for yourself this time. I hope there is someone who will be able to help you out emotionally. Also, please remember that my SIL had the same thing and after surgery she has bounced back beautifully. I am always here for you if you want to talk. Hugs to you my very dear friend.
