Hello all

About accupuncture...I used to work for a Chiropractor that did accupunture. The

results can be dramatic and very healing. The patient that stands out in my mind

was a man that had lost his leg in a war but was still having phantom pains,

like the leg was still there.

He hurt tremendously. He refused to wear his prostetic leg because of the pain.

He was depressed and in chronic pain. She did accupuncture on the stump and

around the leg area. It was my job to take the needles out that she had put in.

I went in to take the needles out and they had absorbed all the way down into

his skin.

Normally, they only go in a couple of inches, but his leg had slowly asbsorbed

almost 5 inches of needle. Pulling them out was the weirdest sensation for

me...not to mention him. IT doesn't hurt, just a pulling feeling.

After the first three treatments he felt dramatically better. By the third week

his wife said he tried on and walked with his prostetic leg for the first time

in 6 yrs.

Of course, he still had pain, but it was a big difference from when he first

came in. This is one of many stories I have. Beware though...at first it can

feel like your actually getting worse due to the opening up of the blood flow to

certain areas. It works wonders for migraines and sinus type headaches too, from

what I saw others experience. FYI.
