I have been " managing " a medical condition for about six years now, and it kicked in really hard yesterday. I HAD to go to the doctor. I'm back at work (thank god for good pain-killers that don't make you drowsy at the same time!) but awaiting an appointment for a ... <sigh> really invasive, all-day-long, do it under sedation, look where No Man Has Gone Before type procedure (used for men and women both, so it's not just a " female " problem) that will determine just exactly how bad things have gotten in my guts. <muttering darkly> So, yes, I'm feeling better than I did yesterday. For the most part, I just live with it, when stuff kicks up to remind me that the body listens when the brain rationalizes excessively long hours, too much work for the available time, administrative demands on human employees, critically time-relevant tasks, technical skills stretched to the max and all those other aspects of Life As We Know It In Our Comm Centers. Hey, if I lived a stress-free life.... <sudden spate of snickers> I can't even finish THAT thought! Who wants to be an amoeba? All I can say is: It had better NOT interfere with the APCO Conference in Boston. Happy to be here, proud to serve.
