Guest guest
He did mention that I had possible calcium issues from tests that he did. But he did not say yes or no to calcium in intestines issue. sorry for responding so late! From: Texas_Thyroid_Groups [mailto:Texas_Thyroid_Groups ] On Behalf Of Tenisha RefeldSent: Saturday, September 03, 2011 10:03 PMTo: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Subject: spurlock cytomel I finally got to see dr. spurlock and I was really impressed by his expertise on dosing and hormones. He quickly pointed out that my reverse t3 was high which the other dr did not do. Had no idea that I should not be on T4 product at all with a high RT3! So I am now longer on any t4 only taking t3 which he wanted me to be on a timed release comp T3 but I read that this wouldn't be the best choice as calcium in the intestines can not properly release the t3 like it should to the cells. So I am on Cytomel which I already had in the med cabinet thank God. I am on 25mg but am I am splitting it 12.5 in morning and 12.5 5 hours later. Feel alittle weird though. joints are aching again and fatigued. I will keep it at this level until adreanl results come in/ (taking sooo long)! I don't want to strain the adrenals any further by raising or on too much at one time. Adrenal should be in Next week. Getting down to the thick of it.... baby steps to recovery... Guest guest
How much T4 were you on previously? Was it only t4, or a combo of T4 and T3? Did Spurlock give you a goal range for your T3 intake? Generally, it’s quite higher than 25 if you’ve been on higher doses of t4.
