Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this article. When I originally received it, it wasn't applicable to our son. Unfortunately, just in the past few days, he has begun exhibiting self-injurious behavior in the form of hitting his head with his hands. Although this new behavior is troubling & a cause for immediate concern, it is very useful to have articles such as these for a parent to turn to as an initial resource & for educators as well. I am using it a few other articles as a starting point for seeking treatment & possible causes.Dolly Hello Everyone,Here's an interesting article I found. http://occupational-therapy.advanceweb.com/Features/Articles/Self-injurious-Behaviors-in-Children-with-Autism.aspx Ochoa, OTROccupational TherapistTamborhythms.comtamborhythms@...www.youtube.com/user/TamboRhythms1Facebook- TamboRhythms: Wellness through Rhythm“Music can enhance quality of life by maximizing performance of meaningful daily activities limited by physical, psychosocial, and/or social factors†- Dan Craig,OTR/L =
