Subject: How do I unsub?

I've never posted on this list...just read.

However, Thea is a friend of mine and I resent her treatment.

Regardless of the " intent " of the joke, the badgering of Thea is both

deplorable and unacceptable.

I'd like to unsub from the list. Not only because of this incident, but for

a number of rude, insulting things that have happend over the past couple of

years on this board.

In short, it is my opinion that it is not Thea that was the problem here.

I've read her posts on another list. What this woman is about is raising

her

autistic child to the best of her ability...she is kind and she is loving.

She is a thoughful woman who often offers help to others.

To rationalize the bigotry that happened here with, " it's just a joke " or

" it

wasn't my intent " or " you need to toughen up " is hogwash. Worse yet, it

has

been insinuated that the commnets made were okay " because we're in a war. "

Bull!!!!!! Until you've walked the wall, shut your mouth. I doubt very

much

there are many here who knows what it's like to walk a post and to dodge the

lead.

I appreciate the valuable info I've received here from regular posters on

this list. But enough is enough..

Ok, now you've got me wondering. I have no idea what the SJU list is, but

Ron, I want you for my friend! You were wonderful sticking up for Thea the

way you did (is this OUR Thea?) I can only imagine what type of crap has

been said on the other list, but it sure doesn't sound like a safe place for

anyone to be. Great going Ron!
