Quackadillan,

You are right that some of the terminally ill would have better lives for

them and their families, if the financial situation is better. But I think

that has always been the case. I am sure there have been those who would have

liked to have died earlier so as not to be a burden on their family.

I don't think Ms. Schaffer has financial worries. I think the point of the

bill and her testimony is that terminally ill should be able to choose to

have a shorter life, but to die with dignity, if that is their preference.

I agree with that.
