Guest guest
Has she already asked her doctor? Maybe they might have some ideas on how to handle this... Evidence notwithstanding, some doctors - especially in smaller towns where there may not be many doctors, are often reluctant to say things that seem obvious to US. What might be best would be to have the employees as a group ask to have the situation cleaned up, for everyone. If she has already said something, and this move of her is the response, the employer *may* - and also may not- be trying to get her to quit.. by moving her to a situation he knows she won't be able to tolerate? Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but this stuff seems to happen a lot. Unless its being driven by some actual need, (say, someone's entire group being moved) a move to an inner office is often a not-so-subtle hint that someone is being demoted.. and doesn't have a real future at that employer.. at least is not on the track to career advancement.. Guest guest
My wife saw a doctor years ago when she first had a bad office and experienced various pains and aches, luckily her dept. moved and she got a well lit, natural light and well ventilated space. She is alone in the complaints since everyone else has the better style offices. She doesn't want to leave a great paying job with no other issues Recently, her entire dept. has moved to a new floor and thus she has to move again to a poorly lit, poorly ventilated office. Her boss, seems to be OK to have her located in another section of the building in a better office if we can produce a letter signed by a doctor. If anyone out there has a template which a doctor can sign (employee has sensitive skin to air movement & sensitive eyes that require natural light not only fluorescent) it would sure be handy, I know doctors tend to be in a rush and if we gave a letter to them to sign it would be easier then to expect them to develop one from scratch. Thank you, > > > > My wife suffers from sick building syndrome, the air in her HVAC of > > her room blows on her and aggravates her also her eyes ache when she > > is in an interior room. > > > > She would like to remain in her current window office, which has a > > better air handling system. Guest guest
If I were you I would try very hard to find a doctor to whom you actually can FULLY explain all of these issues to and to do that you need to have a 'loaner' copy of MoldWarriors and accept that it may take months or even years for a doctor to actually read it. Then you might get lucky and they will understand. At the very least, you need to get enough of the doctors time to EXPLAIN THE SITUATION FOR YOU OUT TO THEM IN DETAIL.. The whole thing about florescent light and sensitive skin doesn't describe my problem at all. I don't care so much about the light and I can handle air blowing on skin. BUT IT HAS TO BE CLEAN AIR.. Mold often grows in air conditioning systems and they have to be cleaned out or the tiny particles cant be allowed to enter the system to begin with, at the beginning of the flow.. when the machines are new. BTW, have you tried buying Filtrete micro allergen (the expensive purple ones) air filters and duct taping them over the air vent in the appropriate direction? Its a desperate measure, but it might help a lot.... Then change the filter every few weeks..
