I think there may well; be adrenaline in the glandulars.

lso, does anyone know if Dr Hertoghe in Belgium prescribes just HC or

other steroids sometimes? I know Dr Peatfield in the UK sometimes

recomends pred (according to his book) but I wonder where the other

big doctors stand on this?

I know, through a patient of his, that Hertoghe prescribes Pred. He also

takes h/c himself and has done for years apparently.

Hi - I'm taking HC was at 20mg/day but that was too much now

I'm taking 15 and am feeling better on that. Haven't tried anything

else except for Nutrimeds Bovine adrenal which I got heart palps on

and could " feel " slight pain in my adrenals (not sure if that was good

or not). COuld have also gotten the heart palps from Armour too??

When I saw Hertoghe in April for the first time he prescribed both HC

and Prednisolone ('in case HC isn't strong enough'),and left me to

make my own mind up. I started on the HC,and then switched to Pred -

couldn't cope with the rapid wearing off time of HC, and Pred

occasionally gets me through the night, and has given me my life back.

I was very incapacitated before April. I take 5mg in the morning, and

1.5mg at night. Tried swapping back to HC and got rapid pounding

heart,so I don't think it;s strong enough for my poor weak adrenals.

Hi group I was also taking 20 mg HC and dropped down to 15 mg. I

think the 20 mg was giving me a headache. I started the HC in June,

when I had too much T3 and T4 built up. I go to the dr. next week to

review my new blood work and saliva test. I have been on 3 grains for

two months now and feel achy and tired. I am always forgetting my

afternoon dose of 5 mg, but as I am ready for a raise, I am trying

really hard to take the afternoon dose. Does anyone take less than

15mg a day? conny

--- Thanks Nicola

That makes perfect sense to me and is exactly why I wanted to try

Pred. I feel happier trying it now.

Is that what the heart pounding is from? Hmm....would I need more HC

in the evening possilby? I wake up at night (like now) if I have to

use the restroom or something with rapid heart pounding and sometimes

before I go to bed I have it.

The heart pounding could signal a need for more thyroid, or more

cortisol. I just know that mine stops if I take more cortisol - either

HC or Pred.

i think that's a confusing symptom though - rapid

heart beat. it can be from too much or too little

thyroid med. and assuming that the HC is helping put

the thyroid meds in your tissues, maybe it's too much

thyroid meds.

that's why i think taking your temp and pulse and

watching all symptoms together is so important.
