I know that there are hydrocortisone drops available for animals so they are

out there. One contact in my book Pets At Risk is Pet Health Pharmacy in

Arizona - . This can only be ordered by veterinary clinics but I

think maybe if you can find a compounding pharmacy then they could make it up

for you.

Have you tried using mini M & M''s or another type of small candy to

teach them with? That usually works easier as they aren't afraid of

getting a candy stuck in their throat.

Hi! Cherwyn-

Your doc sounds like she has a grasp on where to put he cart and where to

put the horse! We could use about a million teachable docs like her!

OTC H/C cream rubbed over a large area of damp skin will work. I have been

having awful computer problems for the past couple of weeks or so (seems to

be working since yesterday...<fingers crossed!> ) but I think I will be able

to find the dosing amounts for the OTC cream that give known amounts of H/C

so you know what you're dosing. It's in the range of 1/2 tsp amounts,

IIRC...There are even known quantities for *ingesting* the OTC H/C cream

when there is trouble gaining access to H/C in any other form...

I had the all time worst wouldn't-take-any-oral-medicine-kids of all time.

Now she pops 2x1grain Armour and 4 Isocort twice a day, no problem. Take

heart. This will pass and there are ways around this...

Thanks, I missed this one the first time around, too! I'm

getting ready for company who are going to stay with us 5 days, and in

the midst of it I'm a little flaky and scattered. I just went to the

link and the group looks like it would be wonderfully helpful for me.
