Routine is very important to your adrenals. I would try to make it a

point to get up the same time every day, bedtime the same. I have found

this has helped me immensely.

I go to pretty much the same time at night, but sometimes I can't

sleep, so sometime I wake up earlier than later or if I didn't sleep

then I'll sleep later.

What should I do in the meantime about taking temperatures? Still

stick to 3 hours after I wake whatever time that is, or try to pick

some times to stick to regardless of when I wake?

When taking my temp., I take it before I get up. I read it online somewhere and

also in some books that I've been reading. Temp. s/b done before you arise in

the morning and start moving around. This is your rested temp.

Yes this is a basal temp which os great for determining hypothyroid status. BUT

what alot of use here with adrenal problems do is a three times a day average

which shouldf NOT include a basal tem, but rather starting three hours after you

are awake then every three hours for twice more, this three temps are then

averaged and put on a chart to determine adrenal and thyroid status. The

instructions and charts for this are at www.drrind.com

I read that our first temperature reading should be 3 hours AFTER we

get up (second reading 3 hours after that and third reading 3 hours

after that).

, do you wake up and take your first reading at the same time

every day.

yes, I take it while I'm still laying down. When my alarm goes off, I reach for

the thermometer. Take my temp. and mark it down on my chart. I then enter into

my graph so when I go to the dr. they can see how low my temps are.

should we be doing a morning temp before rising to check our thyroid

status as well?

I don't feel it is necessary as th e daily average is probably just as accurate.
