Guest guest
Thanks I know some of the meds he is on are not helping the sleep issues, but he has gotten off them before and did not function at all. I have been taking him to a place that does bio-feedback. It has really helped. Tested for low thyroid and stressed Adrenals. I started him on Armour and HC myself and re-tested, and it said yes he liked it. He has only been on 2 grains for 2 weeks now. He has tried melatonin with little help, but have not tried chamomile yet. Interesting that you say the alcohol cravings is an adrenal issue. Never knew that. Guest guest
I don't think this is a time for stress dosing. Hypothyroidism can also cause alcohol cravings and drug addictions, I am living proof if that. It is a crutch to feel better. And to alter the body's metabolism. Stress dosing is for true stresses like accidents or illness. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

So hypoT can underlie alcholism, would it be the same for other carb. addictions do you think Val?<< I think carb addictions can be adrenal related but I knwo from personal experience that alcohol addiction is hypo for the metabolic effects it gives. Same with amphetamine addicitons. I have been both a drug user and an alcoholic and with thyroid treatment BOTH ceased and I can now drink normally, though i drink maybe a wine cooler every 3-4 months! I used to drink a fifth of hard liquor and close to a case of beer EVERY day! But that was aLONG time ago and then I had no idea the cause. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I didnt' read this thoroughly. I don't " stress dose " when I feel a craving, but I have found that the cravings come within 30 minutes of when my next dose is due. That said, I've found that I've been forgetting my doses lately. So I've cut down to 3 Isocort in the am with my 2 grains armour, and sometimes I remember my 11:00 5 mg, and I haven't taken my 3:00 5 mg. in about 3 or 4 days now. This was after seriously stress-dosing last week, I was taking about 25 mg./day for about 5 days or so, I was under serious amounts of stress. I don't know whta the mechanism is, in being somewhat better this week. Not 100%, cuz the kids are really getting on my nerves and I'm a bit tired today, but we'll see how it goes. Guest guest
I always had a problem forgetting, so I bought this watch - http://www.cadexproducts.com// I can program alarms and type in what it is I'm supposed to take - Isocort/ armour etc. It can also be used as a medical alert and you can program allergies and personal info - doctor info, emergency contacts etc., similar to a medical alert bracelet. I never forget now and I can tell you that not missing a dose here and there really helps me stay balanced. I was really sick last week with some stomach ailment, so I decided not to take my Isocort. Oh man, I totally paid for it later.......... SAMMIE Ives wrote: I didnt' read this thoroughly.
