Guest guest
Your symptoms match with adrenal insufficiency and hypothyroid. - light sensitivity - smell sensitivity - taste sensitivity - sound sensitivity These are probably being caused by a high level of epinephrine (adrenaline). Cortisol and epinephrine balance with each other, if cortisol is low, epinephrine can shoot way up and cause senses to become much more sensitive. Natural gave us this to help us get away from danger. Difficulty swallowing might be from your thyroid swelling. Also if you get food caught behind your sternum, it is likely your thymus gland has enlarged. Eating slower and smaller bites can help. Your testosterone may be ok (first test listed), but your TSH of .9 (assuming you hadn't started thyroid treatment yet) is to low. 2 is what you want. I don't know what the deal is with your other TSH test. You need the free T3 tested too, T3 uptake and total T3 that you had aren't worth much. Your ferritin is to low, is very likely your iron is low. It is important to treat low iron or your won't be successful treating your thyroid. Your cortisol is way to low for AM, upper 20's or even into the 30's is what you want. You need to ask for acth stim and acth serum test. Also ask for aldosterone and renin since you can't handle the heat, especially if you crave salt and sweat alot and get dehyrdated. Your DHEA is obviously to low. That you have low DHEA and not high and your TSH is low, makes me suspect you have pituitary issues. E2 Estradiol -- 12 PI - Progesterone -- 49 TTF - Free Testosterone -- 16 What are the ranges for these? You need to ask for LH and FSH as well. You may be secondary hypogonad. Igf-1 is another test consider getting (pretest for growth hormone). Guest guest
I've never seen a TSH that high. Did I read it correctly - 447? If you are losing weight with a TSH that high, I would be interested in your eventually diagnosis. I think said he suspected a pituitary issue. Feel better.
