Guest guest
Geeze, I'm wondering if we watched the same video... Dr. Golomb's presentation runs for almost twenty minutes (there's a link on the page you linked to), and I listened carefully and didn't hear her say anything like what you've attributed to her. Dr. Golomb is an excellent proponent of critical thinking, reason and rationality, and she does a great job highlighting an ever-present problem that has probably existed since time immemorial. However, nowhere does she assert that because some malfeasance exists on the part of some pharmaceutical companies that all medications are, ipso facto, bad, or that all pharmaceutical companies cheat. She is actually a great example of everything that is right about her profession. You would do well to follow her critical and rational approach to problems, especially in the study of confirmation bias.
