Guest guest
Keep in mind Cortisol is only in your system 4 hours! I am sure it is waning after 3.. I think you simply need more. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Val, ok yes maybe I should start on 10mg for my first dose. But I feel such a zombie on it. I can hardly concentrate and feel so disconnected. The +ves are I feel calmer and have a bit more energy but the mental symptoms dont feel right. What do you think causes this? Thanks, Anne > > Keep in mind Cortisol is only in your system 4 hours! I am sure it is > waning after 3.. Guest guest
Combo of low Cortisol and thyroid dumping iinto your system can be rough. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
What causes this 'dumping'....tissue resistance, low ferritin or some other reason? Sodium/potassium imbalance? I'm trying to work out what's going on as I dont want to stop taking it. > > Combo of low Cortisol and thyroid dumping iinto your system can be rough. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
The dumping in this instance is from having low Cortisol which caused the thyroid to build up in the blood as Cortisol is needed for thyroid to get into the cells. Then suddenly Cortisol is available, and you get too much in the cells till this excesss used up. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So what you're saying is I have too much T3 in my cells because the cortisol is now making it available? Should I lower my thyroid dose until the excess is used up? Thanks Val. > > The dumping in this instance is from having low Cortisol which caused > the thyroid to build up in the blood as Cortisol is needed for thyroid > to get into the cells. Guest guest
Anne, I've been taking Cortef for about 3 months. I've found through trial and error, that I almost always need my second dose about 2 hours after the first one. I rarely find I need any more than 10 mg, 5 mg, then another 5 mg in the course of a day. But I almost always have to have the first 5 mg dose about 2 hours after the 10 mg dose. I haven't figured out why yet, but I figured I'd treat by symptoms and not try to fight my body. Once you get used to feeling the symptoms of low cortisol, you sure can't mistake it. It's very distinctive. good luck! Amy > > Val/anyone, > > I've been 10mg of cortef for 6 days. Today I had 5mg at breakfast, > 7.30am. Guest guest
Thanks Amy! I agree the symptoms are unmistakable. Its just the side-effects I'm having problems with but fingers crossed they will lessen with time. Anne > > > > Val/anyone, > > > > I've been 10mg of cortef for 6 days.
