Did you happen to find out why it causes all these problems? I've not gotten any yet to try. Lynn
Guest guest
> Before I went on to the WP in November 04, I had taken 100mg Pregnenolone and 50 mg DHEA per day. It kept me going, but when my hormone values were measured, estrogen and Progesterone were practicqally non-existent. -------> I saw one of my doctors, an endochronogist and asked him about it. He said he doesn't ever bother with that test as he thinks its really not valid for much. I might experiment later with some low doses of pregnanolone and see what happens. For now I seem to be okay on what I'm doing. Thanks for the feedback! Lynn
Guest guest
Oh boy. Reading this is not making me happy as I'm thinking of stopping my Biest sublinguals and just taking DHEA every day. I'm tired of bleeding to death just because I took too much biest without using the damned P. But if 50 mg of DHEA showed non- existent levels of hormones, I don't know what to think now. > > Before I went on to the WP in November 04, I had taken 100mg Pregnenolone and 50 mg DHEA per day. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, (or anyone) I am considering taking DHEA due to my constant fatigue, not severe but bad enough. I take Estradiol and Progesterone on cream. I don't think I am low on E or high on P. I am thinking adding DHEA may help my low energy. Do you know a good DHEA supplement and where to get it? It's confusing since so many DHEA products out there. I appreciate if you would let me know what DHEA you take. sarah > > > Before I went on to the WP in November 04, I had taken 100mg > Pregnenolone and 50 mg DHEA per day. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for the information in Dr. Redmond's book. I actually have that book but only skimmed it and missed that important information. I still have not figured out exactly what causes my spotting and breakthrough bleeding. My estrogen fluctuates quite a bit during the month and it is often hard for me to keep a consistent level without having low estrogen symptoms more than I would like. Also, I think I am making some of my own progesterone but it seems to drop off too quickly. If my progesterone supplementation is not on time and the right dose, I get spotting or breakthrough bleeding. I do not like the way I feel on progesterone so I have been trying to tweak it too much I think. This month I wanted to see if I could extend my cycle by a couple of days and I also wanted to try oral progesterone instead of vaginal progesterone. So instead of a period at day 28 I got it at day 21. The two days of 200 mg of oral progesterone was too little and too late to maintain my lining. If I would have started my vaginal progesterone on time instead of trying oral progesterone three days late I am sure I would have been able to go another week. I need to figure out a way to know if and when I start producing my own progesterone each month so that I can start supplementing early enough to prevent the spotting or breakthrough bleeding that occurs when it drops off. I am going to try taking my temp every morning before I get up to see if I get a spike when my progesterone production starts (as soon as I can replace my thermometer that I lost). I used to have other symptoms of progesterone production but those are no longer consistent. Kathy > > > Kathy, > Thank you for your detailed infroamtion on DHEA.
