Haven't posted in a while but thought I would post on my last visit to my Vit D

Dr on the

28th.

I have seen her between 5-6mos and I am taking about 4000 IU Vit D per day and

about

1000 mg calcium and some Mg also.

My blood tests came back as quite a surpise.

E -313 w/using just a Vivelle .035 (Dr was amazed at the amount of E I guess my

own

ovaries are producing) wants me to lower Vivelle to .025 and the following month

try it

without any E

T-42 total and my free T went to .8 (it always hovered around 1.8 which probably

caused

my high T symptoms)

TSH -.022 this was the most surprising because I take the same dose and will now

reduce

my thyroid meds slowly (she did say that when the thyroid is too low your body

uses the D

very quickly and probably some of the other hormones also)

Vit D-47- she would like this higher so I will increase to 6000 IU per day

I feel good and my skin and hair are doing well. Getting my period every 28days

and lasts

for 5 and has gotten pretty normal (no excessive cramps as when I first started)

I did have

to up my Vit D for the fall and winter months.

The strangest thing of all is that I am lowering my hormone amounts and I think

my own

ovaries are kicking in (think I might have ovulated this month). I do not use

any P and have

not for many months. So far I have to say that the Vit D/calcium have made a

huge

difference. Hope this benefits others and motivates them to do a liittle more

research on

Vit D.
