Question about Liver & hypercholesterolemia

Hi All-

I've posted previously about my flares this year that started with Iritis this

summer- been on medrol for 3 mos now- started at 20mg/day- down to 4mng one day

and 2mg alternate day- I just feel horrible- most of the time- joint pain-

especially fingers-lots of cracking/popping of other joints, muscle pain and

fatigue, the classic rash on the face-------- Just completed a battery of

bloodwork- sed rate/ana, RA, liver, CBC et al------all normal. this Fall was

diagnosed with fatty liver- and we also tested for the AMA (anti-mitochondrial

antigen- negative) My rheumy on vacation until 1/3------- question for you all-

the only thing out of whack is my Cholesterol and Triglycerides which are

elevated- I've battled this over the past 7-8 yrs-sometimes successfully with

supplements and diet/exercise- my primary wants to put me on a statin-

Question- do you think the elevated cholesterol along with the fatty liver could

be causing the way I feel or is it the Still's most likely that's bringing me

down?

Both my primary and my GI doc agree that its probably time for the

DMARDs/biologic - which I will review with the rheumy after the holiday-
